Croix Occitane

Tiny goat cheese with its occitan cross

This little goat cheese raises proudly his occitan cross.

The Croix Occitane cheese is produced in the south of France (near Toulouse) by a unique farmer.

The farm holds a herd of 500 goats and produce his own cheeses. One of them it's the Croix Occitane.

Of course it has a nice look, but also a very attractive taste. Young (2 to 4 weeks) the cheese has a goaty flavor with a little touch of acidity, older, the cheese loses its goaty flavor to developp a nutty one.

The Croix Occitane marries with dry white wine (sauvignon grape).
