The name Gaperon comes from the substance of which the cheese was originally formed, in this case buttermilk, known as "gap" or "gape".

 

Cow's milk cheese, with an ivory-colored paste, sprinkled with peppercorns and pieces of garlic. Its taste is slightly aromatic according to the degree of maturation.
